New era of train seating

The COVID-19 Pandemic has massively impacted the travel industry. Mobility providers and passengers have been thrust into an uncertain time and must make compromises regarding their health, safety, wellbeing and their business. N+P developed a modular seating concept to provide the flexibility and safety needed in this volatile time.

Next level hygiene meets comfort. The modular seating concept provides flexibility and safety for passengers and operators.

Modular design meets comfort

The clever use of common parts combined with additional features provide passengers with a wide variety of seat configurations while also enhancing wellbeing. The furniture-like colour, material and finish is optimized for public use, such as the dark shell at the base of the seat which minimizes signs of use. The upper half of the seats use textiles to provide comfort as well as optimize environmental acoustic.

Shy-tech integration

Shy-tech elements are hidden throughout the seat, such as the disappearing textile display and projectors in the indirect seat lighting. The seating concept should be combined with a completely digital and touchless service for optimal passenger and staff safety. Through personalized features, greetings and settings i.e. seat heating, the hospitality of the mobility provider can be made tangible.
