Project Brief
FISA's DolceSogno Seat, developed in collaboration with N+P Innovation Design, offers a blend of ergonomic comfort, aesthetic appeal, and versatility, redefining traditional train seating for modern passengers. Now featured in Trenitalia's executive class, the seat’s redesign aims to broaden its international appeal while maintaining its luxurious "GranLusso" (grand luxury) essence, making it scalable for new markets beyond Italy.

FISA GranLusso Seat
N+P Innovation Design, working with FISA, focused on preserving key features of the original seat, including its 180° rotation, privacy, integrated reading lights, foldable table, and leather CMF accents.
The redesign reimagined the seat’s shape and surface structure, optimizing storage compartments, repositioning sockets, and updating the control panel. Additional enhancements, such as smaller trays and headrest-in-headrest options, were also explored to boost functionality.
FISA DolceSogno Seat
The seat is divided into two sections, with the upper part featuring dark blue leather inside and matching hard plastic outside. Soft, rounded corners and smooth transitions create a cozy, inviting feel, especially around the headrest, where passengers can comfortably nestle and relax.
The upper seat elements visually connect with the lower seating area through consistent color, material, and fluid lines, creating a harmonious design with strong visual identity and iconic appeal.
