Project Brief
We partnered with KAIBO, one of the China’s leading ironing brands to design their next-generation handheld steamer – an innovative step beyond the ironing board. With faster heat-up times, lower energy use, and the ability to refresh everything from clothes to curtains, steamers are becoming the go-to tool for effortless care. Our role was to create a design language that elevates usability while appealing to a new generation of users.

Steam, Style, and Speed for Gen Z
Today’s lifestyles demand speed, flexibility, and efficiency. Steamers deliver all three – ready in seconds, simple to use, and easy to store. This project set out to make the steamer not only more functional but also more iconic and desirable.
Designed for Gen Z – pragmatic, socially aware, and trend-driven – they want products that look good, fit compact spaces, and align with their values of responsibility and ease.
Concept 1: The Modular Base
A unique storage base keeps the steamer and accessories together, with a half-and-half layout that improves multi-functionality, order and a distinct design signature.
Concept 2: Ultra Compact Form
An integrated handle delivers a sleek, space-saving silhouette that's tailored to young, global users who value minimalism, portability, and style.
